His statement follows a meeting aimed establishing a grand plan which will deal with attacks on foreign nationals.
International Relations Minister Lindiwe Sisulu and Police Minister Bheki Cele attended the meeting that was held in Pretoria after a spate of attacks on some foreign nationals in Durban last weekend.“We have the figures to the amassers but it would irresponsible for to put as if there’s a big amount we are losing through this deportation. Yes it is worrying us; it is worrying that we are spending a significant amount over four years just for deportations.
How about immigrants be arrested until they reach 1000 per country than send them to their country of origin than if it happens that one person is arrested twice he/she must be sentenced 2years without bail or parole and we SA citizens can voluntarily work with SAPS at Borders
He needs to walk around without body guards. Than he will c the reality. Undocumented immigrants are only deported if they commit crime. Police are no more arresting undocumented migrants. Home affairs is doing absolutely nothing.
Minister Cwele dies not know what imhe is talking abt. He keeps on refering 2 trities which are not applied. He's disputing the estimate number of undocument foreigners, that tells me that he doesn't know what is happening in the ground level.
Spending huge sums of money repratriating fellow Africans it's not something to boast about especially when the govt is bankrupt. The state needs to secure our boarders in order to prevent the spending
Build the wall and cut spending
Build a big wall between borders, trumps idea.
Just give people SA IDs.
They should slap those countries they are deporting their citizens back home with the bill so that they can urge their citizens to do right thing and respect SA laws.
Why are the Nigerians who beat up police in Pretoria, Sunnyside still alive when a South African youth who threw bricks at a police van in Mpumalanga was shot dead?
Our borders are not protected and no one cares, we must blame it on ANC government, it is evident that ANC leadership has failed the country with great purpose.
If this guys take that power they are wasting on pointing fingers at each other n put it in action l think will not have problems tht we are facing right now
Stop them from coming in, Comrade. Use those funds to ensure borders well controlled.
You must complain about water in the house without dealing with the point of entry. Deal with the point of entry then you would have solved the problem.
How old is this grandpa
Whts so special abt it, America does tht too wth the hot headed Mexicans hu actually bring drugs. Yo kind of african immigrnts most o´ them r harmles js seekn' refugee & jobs. Stop trying to influence pple in2 fighting Ministers. Actualy yo country hs othr serious probs thn this
This is a lie. When they catch you they tell you to call one of your relatives to come and give you money to go home. That's how they do it for Zimbabweans. So which money is he talking about?
What a waste of money they come straight back 🤔
Our border control is a joke hence those working there are taking bribes bcos the sytem is poorly managed. Can we just use Botswana as an example, c how they manage their borders. This cripples the economy and farming too PresidencyZA CyrilRamaphosa
I WONDER WHAT ARE WE GETTING CORRECTLY LA E MZANSI.GO AND ASK USA HOW DO THEY DEAL WITH MEXICANS
99% Companies in South Africa are not African..70% of South Africans work for those Companies...What do our fellow Brothers and Sisters in Africa bring to South Africans
Boarder control officers must stop taking bribes. They have the key to stopping entry. I however sympathise with those that are seeking genuine refugee. Home Affairs is dragging feet in that aspect.
How often do deport repeat offenders? If often how about some jail time?

They should tighten security in the borders instead.
GovernmentZA must strengthen border controls those costs will go down significantly
