Netflix has said it won't run ads, but some think it'll be the only way for the service to grow.

"Well, that's not what their recruiters say," said Tara Walpert Levy, YouTube and Google's VP of Agency and Media Solutions. "They're going to need growth. Eventually, they're going to need more growth."

"The consumer wants choice and they want something that creates value for them," Lemkau said. "To the extent that you've got this subscription version versus the non-subscription version, consumers will take that tradeoff." "It wouldn't have worked with ads," she said. "That piece of content, that type of storytelling couldn't have happened with ads. The army of the dead are at the wall, and we're still fighting among the houses."

I won’t use Netflix at that point. I’ll cancel and go with a different streaming service.

Well, then bye bye.

That's sad, that's what made it so popular!!! The ability to watch on your own timeline and no ads. Just can't get away from them I guess.

Why are people on picture applauding?

I will not subscribe to a service that makes me pay to watch commercials.

Then more ads, then more, then we're right back to 'cable tv' era. Then people cancel their subscriptions.

And that’s when we cancel our already underused subscription ~

Netflix needs the revenue from ads because conservatives dropped their service after netflix's deal with the Obama's. Pay attention Mark Zuckerberg.
