As a pro musician for 20 years, I’ve never made enough to properly live off. Have juggled it with other jobs, but that is increasingly difficult in this fickle, On Demand 21st century.

At least they get better paid than the rubbish jobs regular Joe's have to do!

A perfect case where technology and advances that happened to e music in the 90s was a case of better off under the record industry and the BPI before they changed music format. The changes happened too quickly for the BPI to increase and put proper steps in place for payment.

It's only minimum wage if a song is not sold or well used which generally means that it's not much good and thus of little value

So does Privileged backgrounds

Oh, please, don't! And there was me thinking a relative on Universal Credit and having to feed her kids by using food banks was hard up. Shame on me; and well done Ed & co for struggling on so bravely.
