Asia Chip Stocks Rally on Report US Allies Exempted From Curbs

-- Tokyo Electron Ltd. led a rally in Asian chip stocks after Reuters reported the Biden administration planned to exempt chip equipment makers from Japan, the Netherlands and South Korea from upcoming export restrictions.

Amadeus said its adjusted net profit for the April to June period came in at 358.9 million euros , ahead of Refinitiv-polled analysts who had forecast 337 million euros and 25% higher than a year earlier. "We continued to grow at a double-digit pace throughout the first half of the year and we remain confident in our outlook for 2024", CEO Luis Maroto said in a statement.
