I would start with the presidential election and get your take on both cryptos courting the candidates and the candidates seemingly courting the crypto community.The Securities and Exchange Commission, the SEC, has approved a whole range of crypto related derivative products like exchange traded funds, so that's the context in which politicians are beginning to play an important role.
What is equally interesting, though, is that the high risk campaign does seem to be somewhat more open to crypto. But I worry a great deal about Bitcoin and other decentralised cryptocurrencies as financial assets, but certainly the fact they are easily accessible through these exchange traded funds, even to retail investors.
So I'm not sure that the originator of Bitcoin whoever that is, we still don't know would really like it.But if you own Bitcoin and view it as a speculative financial asset one that is part of your portfolio, you're certainly probably happy now.What about sort of real world issues with this?So here again, there are some potential risks to retail investors who may not fully understand the risks that they're taking on because they say, Well, the SCC.
Bitcoin's value essentially seems to come only from its scarcity because it's not being used that much as a um as a payment mechanism, which was its original objective.
