Ogun State government has given traders at the popular Kara Market in Isheri a 100-day ultimatum to relocate to the Ogere International Market

along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Dr Sam Olugbenga Oyeleye, who disclosed this yesterday, said the state government decided to relocate the market to restore sanity due to the environmental degradation. “Their bad attitude, which constitutes an eyesore, is also not in tandem with the state government’s policy of attracting investors to the state as the nation’s industrial hub, hence the need to relocate the market for the general good of the state.”

With 10 days to the expiration of the tenure of its current national leadership, the Nigerian Bar Association , yesterday, introduced digital stamps and seals for legal practitioners in the country. The 135-year-old village head of Gatta community in Ilorin, Kwara State, AbdulKareem Akanji, and 11 others have instituted a N2.4 billion suit against authorities of the state polytechnic, over alleged encroachment and disregard for court proceedings.

A frontline women's rights and community development advocacy group, Women Support Women Community Network , has commended the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his continuous effort to empower women in agriculture.
