An energy company with millions of customers has announced it will give a £150 discount to many of its customers this winter. Ovo Energy has said it will be giving eligible customers extra cash through the Warm Home Discount to help them lower bills this winter.

A government spokesperson explains: 'The Warm Home Discount Scheme is a one-off £150 discount off your electricity bill.
'You may be able to get the discount on your gas bill instead if your supplier provides you with both gas and electricity and you’re eligible. Contact your supplier to find out.'
