BABSA raises concerns on increased human trafficking and scams by cartels targeting South Africans.

FILE | SAPS Special Task Force unit has rescued a kidnapped victim as well as 90 undocumented Ethiopian nationals from a suspected human trafficking syndicate.Data from the Department of International Relations indicates that 680 South Africans were imprisoned abroad for drug-related offences in 2023.

BABSA Founder and CEO, Glory Matipile, highlighted the vulnerability of South Africans to trafficking schemes.
