Liz Cheney, a top GOP voice opposing Donald Trump, tore into the former president Tuesday over the Jan. 6, 2021, mob attack on the U.S. Capitol and his tariff policies.
"You all in business, when you think about, what are you looking for in somebody you hire, you're looking for somebody that you can trust, you're looking for somebody who's going to be responsible, who's going to operate in good faith," she told the audience. "You certainly wouldn't hire somebody who was unstable and erratic. And we need to think about this election in those terms.
"At the end of the day, as a conservative, as somebody who's worked all over the world, worked in places where people aren't free, somebody who understands the incredible value, the miracle of this system that we have in this country, there's only one choice.
