The Heads of State and Government from the Southern African Development Community region are also expected to attend Boko’s inauguration. In a statement, the Presidency says Mashatile is attending the inauguration as delegated by President Cyril Ramaphosa, who following the announcement of Boko’s victory, congratulated him and reaffirmed South Africa’s commitment to working closely with Botswana, as a valued neighbour to realise the regional integration agenda in pursuit of Africa’s prosperity.
