For poorly children in hospital, Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time. But toy company Vivid Goliath has helped bring festive cheer to children and their families by supporting a Christmas giving initiative at University College London Hospital (UCLH). Led by Louise Moule, the Christmas Toy Giving campaign sees donated toys delivered to very sick babies, children and teenagers on the cancer ward and long-term illness ward.
Louise has been running the campaign for five years and takes her mini pony Bambi to deliver the gifts. This year, toy company Vivid Goliath donated gifts for the children including the surprise-filled Secret Findees Magic Mailboxes and Sky Dancers dolls which dance as you pull the magical string. They also donated the squishy, stretchy Let’s Go Axoloti toys, the auto-extending Power Sabers for epic ‘battles’ and the brilliant Murdle board game for kids aged 12+. 'An incredible privilege to see the joy our efforts bring to the children' Louise says: ‘The project has grown significantly over the last five years as the number of patients and ward spaces has sadly increased. Despite the challenges, it’s an incredible privilege to see the joy our efforts bring to the children, their families and the hardworking nurses who support them through unimaginably difficult times.’ A spokesperson for the toy company said: ‘Goliath are thrilled to be involved with the Christmas Toy Giving initiative at UCLH. Our mission is to bring fun to every household across the globe, so we were delighted for some of our best-loved toys and board games to be included. Whether that’s working together to solve a mystery in our board game Murdle or watching our Animagic Axolotl glow, we hope this provides all the children and their siblings an opportunity to choose a well-deserved Christmas gift at UCLH.’ 'Bringing a little extra light to children and their families' Along with Bambi, Louise also brings along Santa and some elve
