The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued a recall warning for The White Company's Jingle Christmas range of children's sleepsuits, pyjamas, and hooded towels due to a potential choking hazard posed by a detachable red pom-pom.

A Christmas range of children's sleepsuits, pyjamas and hooded towels have been recalled over choking fears. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission issued a warning over The White Company's Jingle Christmas range on Friday. The products, which feature a red pom-pom, pose a choking risk to young children as the pom-pom may detach and become a small part that could be swallowed.

The CCPC said: 'The White Company is carrying out a recall of Sleepsuits, Pyjamas and Hooded Towel from the Jingle Christmas range. The risk presented by the product is choking. The red pom pom may detach from the garments creating a small part. The small part may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, causing a young child to choke.' Approximately 140 affected items have been sold by The White Company in Ireland since October 14, 2024. The affected items include: The White Company is advising customers to stop using the products immediately and to keep them out of the reach of children. Customers can return the affected items to the place of purchase for a full refund.
