The Chippa United – Stellenbosch FC match was the only one that failed to register any goals on the opening day of the new Absa Premiership season.Nine goals were scored countrywide on the opening day. Chippa United coach, Clinton Larsen says he is happy with the performance after six weeks of preparations. “One question had to be answered – Are we ready for this season? I think it’s a resounding yes! If you look at the dominant performance in both halves that BIF question has been answered. We wanna be competitive; we don’t wanna be pushovers in this league.
