The Netherlands Ambassador to Malaysia Aart Jacobi said that he is unperturbed about the talks of measures against palm oil by the European Union . Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok, who jointly witnessed the signing ceremony, said that the implementation of the National Initiatives for Sustainable and Climate-Smart Oil Palm Smallholders programme is aimed at improving productivity, sustainability, and livelihood of oil palm smallholders in seven sites in the country.

The Sub-Committee on Oil Palm is a government to government platform to discuss collaboration of the NI-SCOPS.
