AT&T Inc. raised its outlook for profit and wireless revenue as the telecommunications giant continued to add more subscribers in the third quarter.
The company on Thursday said that for the recently ended period, it added 708,000 postpaid phone connections, the metric for monthly phone service customers that investors use to gauge a cellphone carrier’s core growth. For , the tally handily topped projections of Wall Street analysts, who had been expecting 552,300 connections in the third quarter.
