Amazon.com Inc. has cut 263 employees working at its Sunnyvale campus, according to a WARN notice filed by the company.to cut as many as 10,000 workers globally in corporate and technology roles targeted mainly at its device business. The cuts make up 1% of Amazon's total employees and 3% of its corporate employees.an office campus it significantly expanded in 2018.
The layoffs, expected to take effect Jan. 17, 2023, will target roles such as software developers, UX designers and product managers, according to the notice. Amazon also filed a separate WARN notice saying it plans to layoff 53 people at its Irvine office at 17871 Von Karman Ave.
