Director General of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Imo State, Greg Egu, has told market women, trade unionists, artisans and vehicle/motorcycle operators in the state that Atiku’s victory would address socio-economic woes in the country.

Egu, a one-time member of the House of Representatives, stated this in a mega rally at the popular Alaba International and Relief markets in Owerri, yesterday.

He urged the electorate to resist attempt by any politician to induce them with gratification, while urging them to massively vote Atiku, who, he said, has all it takes to salvage the country from its current economic distress. According to him, “Atiku represents the face of a new Nigeria, and his foot prints as a customs officer and former Vice President of Nigeria are evidence of a man willing to transform his country for good.”

He assured that Atiku is willing to address the dwindling fuel pump price, prices of food and unwarranted hike in the cost of living. He said: “Do not allow current economic situation to discourage you from supporting Atiku. PDP possesses the best manifesto that can solve Nigeria’s perennial social, economic and political challenges within the first two years on seat.”

Speaking on behalf of traders, Angela Iwunna, expressed delight that with the assurances given to them by the PDP PCC team, the confidence of traders was rekindled that things would normalise soon.
