After topping the ranking in 2018, Texas has lost ground every year since then. It placed second in 2019, fourth in 2021, fifth last year and sixth this year....

Texas also ranked second for its economy .

“And its workforce is second only to top state North Carolina, as people flock to Texas regardless of whether its policies are welcoming to all,” CNBC said.
