Christmas market plans have been confirmed for Nottingham Castle after last year's event was cancelled when the venue went into liquidation. A wide range of events have been confirmed for the rest of the year at the historic site as visitor numbers since its reopening pass 60,000.
Councillor Pavlos Kotsonis, the Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Planning at Nottingham City Council, said: "In December, there will be a 'Christmas Through the Ages' event on the site, featuring our own Castle Father Christmas and Christmas market." Other events confirmed for the rest of the year include a 'freshers week promotion' with both universities later this month.
