Eight-time Irish Champion trainer Noel Meade set up the firm in 2003 and is now sitting on a cash pile of over €830,000, newly filed accounts show

Eight-time Irish Champion horse trainer Noel Meade appears to be on to a winner after his company reported accumulated profits of almost €2.5 million in its latest accounts.

The horse training operation is based at Tu Va Stables in Castletown, Co Meath. Tu Va was Meade’s first horse, and provided the trainer with his first ever win at Wexford in August 1971.He has since been named Irish Champion jump trainer eight times, including six in a row between 1999 and 2005, and has had nearly 3,000 winners during an illustrious career spanning five decades.

It was owed just over €1.6 million by debtors, including €282,098 from trade debtors, and €862,699 from group undertakings. Meanwhile, the firm owed its creditors €110,647, €41,142 related to taxation.
