United Parcel Service ‘s earnings, slated for Thursday morning, will say a lot about both the economy and how companies are dealing with rising costs resulting from new labor deals.
For starters, UPS says, some shipment volume left its network. That makes sense because businesses worried about a potential strike wanted to protect themselves.
