JetBlue and Spirit Airlines have officially ended their merger after a federal judge ruled it violated US antitrust law. The companies had argued that the merger would benefit consumers, but the judge sided with the US justice department.
The decision was made because the companies believed they would not be able to meet the merger's deadline.
