Chinese investment in Australia has shrivelled 36 per cent in a single year, according to a new report from KPMG and The University of Sydney.

It marks the second-lowest year in investment value and the lowest number of investment transactions, 11. Chinese investments in BRI countries increased by 28 per cent in 2023 and for the first time ODI share going to BRI nations exceeded 20 per cent.
