The Downtown Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market in Charlottetown will relocate to Confederation Landing Park, shifting gears from a proposed move to the front of Founders’ Food Hall.

The second resolution moved the market from Queen Street to Confederation Landing. This passed 7-1, with Coun. Mitchell Tweel opposing. Councillors Terry Bernard and John McAleer were absent. Food vendors no longer allowed at downtown Charlottetown market say they are disappointed Tweel and other councillors spoke about problems with the process, noting council had only been brought in at “the 11th hour.”
