BATU PAHAT: A 54-year-old plantation manager lost over RM200,000 after falling for a cryptocurrency investment scam here.

“On June 4, the victim downloaded an application called ‘My Jodoh’ and was contacted by an unknown individual through Whatsapp. “The suspect then offered a return of 20% for any investment made with a minimum investment of RM500,” he said in a statement here on Friday . “Between June 8 and 14, the victim had made three financial transactions to three different bank accounts worth RM217,000,” he added.
