Part of Melrose Avenue in the Bronx is all but inhabitable after an 'open-air drug market' has been allowed to operate without interference from law enforcement.

New York City residents are calling on Mayor Eric Adams to address what they call an 'open-air drug market' that has taken over one street in the Bronx.Part of Melrose Avenue near the subway station on 149th Street has become a haven for those openly using drugs and exchanging money in broad daylight. FOX 5 New York, who investigated the area, also documented a man who projectile vomited and then passed out on the street.
