Ginza, a popular Japanese restaurant in Sherwood has gone on the market for let after the popular establishment's closure in July. The Japanese restaurant closed on Saturday, July 27, after owner Helena Hung retired, after 33 years of operation.

The restaurant was famous for its flaming grills and flying eggs with a chefs serving customers straight from the pan onto their plates. The property has been put up for let by the landlord Yalcin Property. The property is currently not listed on any letting website. The old restaurant situated on Sherwood’s high-street, Mansfield Road was first established in 1991. The restaurant confirmed its closure on social media in a post saying: “There is no easy way to say goodbye. But Thank YOU... First of all, thank you to the family and staff who have been with us, from the past to the present, to the ones who joined us briefly.”

While the establishment will be sorely missed by the local community, there are hopes a new business could set up in its place.
