The company also closed a number of locations over the summer and laid off 55 people in Pennsylvania.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we made the difficult decision to cease operations of Yelloh,” Bernardo Santana, CEO of Yelloh, said in a news release. “We are thankful to our many loyal customers and hard-working employees for everything they have done to support us. I am deeply grateful for our employees’ tireless and bold efforts, and our customers’ dedication. It has been our utmost pleasure and honor to serve our customers their favorite meals and frozen treats.

“The current Yelloh team has worked hard against external headwinds such as the nationwide staffing challenges and crushing food supply chain disruption caused by the pandemic,” Michael Ziebell, a Yelloh board member, said in the news release. “These challenges, combined with changing consumer lifestyles and competitive pressures that have been building for over 20 years, made success very difficult.

Yelloh has a presence in Pennsylvania. The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notice with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry informing the state it is laying off 86 employees including nine employees in the Ebensburg area; 16 in the Kittanning area; 11 in the Lewistown area; 15 in the Scottdale area; eight in the Hamburg area; 11 in the Titusville area; 15 in the Eighty-Four area; and one remote employee.
