Gentari Sdn Bhd and Mastercard have announced a collaboration to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Asia Pacific. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore opportunities in advertising, marketing, and digital payment solutions for EV charging. The partnership aims to implement secure and enhanced digital payment solutions to promote inclusive EV adoption in public transportation and support carbon reduction efforts.

The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on December 17, 2024, to explore opportunities in advertising, marketing, and digital payment solutions for EV charging.

Shah Yang Razalli, deputy CEO of Gentari and CEO of Gentari Green Mobility, stated: “Mastercard’s expertise in innovative digital payment solutions that drive sustainable and inclusive growth aligns with Gentari’s vision of leveraging technology to improve efficiency and customer experiences. Through Gentari Go, we provide seamless access to clean energy solutions – from home solar to green mobility, including cross-border EV roaming.
