Taxpayers in Lapu-Lapu City can now renew their business permits more conveniently and efficiently thanks to the introduction of a new queue management system. The system, implemented on the first day of the renewal period, allows applicants to receive a queue number and be notified via text message when it's their turn to process the transaction. This eliminates the need for long queues and waiting times, making the process smoother and more efficient, especially during peak seasons.

Taxpayers in Lapu-Lapu City can now renew their business permits more conveniently and efficiently, thanks to the introduction of a new queue management system.The renewal period for business permits in the city started on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, and will run until Jan. 20, Monday to Saturday, at the Hoops Dome in Barangay Gun-ob, Hoops Dome.Kyle Cuizon, a support employee from the private corporation in partnership with the City Government, told SunStar Cebu on Saturday, Jan.

Cuizon added that the new technology helps in the case of tracking misplaced documents, as each application is assigned a unique number and can be easily retrieved in the system.The kiosk for business and special permit applications is the first of its kind among local government units in Cebu.FeaturesThe self-service kiosk streamlines various options, from application and assessment to making payments, submission and claiming of business taxes and special permits.
