Dominic Raab has said there is 'no doubt' it will not be 'business as usual' with China once the coronavirus crisis is over

The outbreak began in the Chinese city of Wuhan at the beginning of the year, but soon spread around the world.MPs have been critical of China's response in recent weeks. The Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee warned recently that disinformation propagated by Beijing and other countries was costing lives and hindering the battle against COVID-19.

As the country where the outbreak originated, China should have played a central role in collecting data on its spread, MPs on the committee said.It called on the British government, in conjunction with international allies, to actively"confront and rebut" disinformation from foreign powers. The MPs also named Iran and Russia as being behind false information about the coronavirus and suggested other nations might be involved.

Committee chairman Tom Tugendhat said Beijing had at first"allowed disinformation to spread as quickly as the virus".

But it was your Brexit govt mantra to cosy up to the Chinese for free trade opportunities

True - I will increase my business in China at the expense of the US and UK. China knows how to deal with pandemics so is a lower supply chain risk.

At last, a government minister with bollocks

Good. Buy British.

Really, tht I do not believe. It’s a case of what is said in public to what happens behind closed doors! China has damaged its country far wider than it can imagine yet the Communist leaders think all is ok & no one can question them in what they say goes.

We need to do more made in Britain rather than made in China!!!!!! Why do we have sooo much reliance on China for products that could be made in the uk!

That’ll help our post-brexit trade no end... irony klaxon

Finally, standing upto them, just needs to ditch the corrupt WHO organisation now too
