Zimbabweans will continue to endure prolonged blackouts of up to 19 hours daily due to frequent breakdowns at Hwa nge Thermal Station.

Forced reduction of power generation at the country’s main source of electricity, Kariba South, due to low usable water levels in Lake Kariba, also contributes to blackouts.

The country has also faced challenges importing electricity from the Southern African Power pool since its neighbours such as South Africa, are also struggling to meet demand. Zimbabwe Energy Ministry Secretary Gloria Magombo says the country aims to import more energy sources from its neighbours. “The additional imports will be critical to support the existing imports which we were getting from South Africa in terms of Eskom. EDM, HCB and Zambia. Eskom will continue to give us up to 100 megawatts. We have an agreement to increase further by additional 150 megawatts.”

Project 'become Zimbabwe' is still on track then🤦‍♂️

So this should be our consolation? Nonsense

This is our future!

12 HOURS of loadshedding EVERY 24 HOURS YOU, CyrilRamaphosa, is an INCOMPETENT LEADER, and your MYANC is CORRUPT TO IT'S CORE! WE CALL ON EARLY ELECTIONS 2023!

Who is still in Zimbabwe for them to be in need of electricity? Any Zimbabwean produced electricity must be shared by all SADC in proportion according to the number of Zimbabweans that they cater for.

Zimbabwe is us and us is Zimbabwe.

What are they doing with the zim dollar

Do any of you guys remember Fkom before it changed to Eskom Fkom only had 1 blackout and it was i think 45 min to do maintenance and now the name is Eskom since 1994 things take a change for the worse this was when the ANC took over

SA can’t you see the LIGHT?

SA is on stage 6 though?

Amazing the results of black leadership's transformation, phasing out skills and replace them with criminal orientated mamparras. Also the anc's strategy.

Hello who is in charge loshedding I am sick and tired with this.people oh please

Zimbabwe and South Africa needs new leadership asap

No the government is trying mislead the world ! The causes of blackouts is ZANUPF_Official and Mnangagwa who has been in the LOOTING spree since the COUP!

So therefore stop telling South Africans we are in Rolling Blackouts.... 2.5 hours as opposed to 19 hours

What about your SAfrika
