New habanero-infused offering from First Coast vodka brand hopes to heat up sales - Jacksonville Business Journal

An idea that bloomed from a casual lunch conversation has led to a major investment in something its owners hope will be the next big thing in the craft cocktail market.

It turns out they could and did, along with the help of Citrus Distillers of Jacksonville. And after finding some success with the product, the pair recently launched a second flavor, Scoville Habanero Vodka. While still keeping their regular careers — Anderson is a military veteran in training for a similar career and Leake is a physician — the couple is slowly getting recognition for the brand.

Because of that unique flavor combination, Scoville has found its way onto the cocktail menu at local establishments like Beachcomber, Sunset Grill, The Reef, Hurricane Grill and even Cowford Chophouse.
