Retailers eyeing San Marco Theater as renovations begin

Feb 15, 2023, 2:45pm EST

Building Dynamics Inc. applied for a $160,000 construction permit on behalf of Normandy Stratton LLC and TSG Realty for the theater located at 1996 San Marco Blvd. The permit calls for removing interior walls and flooring from the building, which was built in 1938. The building is being marketed for lease by the Colliers' team of Matthew Clark, Olivia Steinemann and Sam Middlekauff. Clark said the property's features and historical significance to the area can't be recreated, making it attractive to retailers.

TSG Realty Property Manager Pamela Howard said user interest has been extremely high, due to the low vacancy in San Marco and a new Publix opening nearby. Compatibility with the area is key for future tenants, she said.
