But...I have been using Flight Mode all my life lol MASAirlines TechNave

Starting on 1 July 2023, Malaysia Aviation Group announced its airlines have been granted regulatory approval by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia to enable Gate-to-Gate connectivity for passengers. In other words, you don't exactly need to turn off your phones anymore before the plane lifts off.

As the first to provide this feature for travellers departing from Malaysia, passengers can enjoy staying connected to their personal/portable electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and other small hand-held devices from departing until arriving. That said, you still pretty much need to turn on 'Flight Mode' due to regulatory and aircraft requirements.

At the same time, Malaysia Airlines will also offer complimentary Wi-Fi for all Business Suite and Business Class passengers, as well as Enrich Platinum members, regardless of their class of travel to be enjoyed from 1 July 2023 until 31 December 2023. This will be available on 20 aircraft with 100MB per sector and a bandwidth of up to 512 kbps. Regular passengers may enjoy the WiFi too but through per-per-use via MHconnect and MHstudio.

According to Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, Chief Executive Officer of Airlines from MAG, he said MAG will be actively expanding the number of aircraft equipped with WiFi to provide an improved in-flight experience to passengers. They will also continue to invest in innovative technologies and services to meet the changing needs.
