The founder of the collapsed cryptocurrency company FTX – Sam Bankman-Fried – has taken to the stand in his fraud trial.
Mr Bankman-Fried was grilled by the prosecution team for six hours, often replying to questions with variations of yes or no. The prosecution went on the attack, at one point trying to corner Mr Bankman-Fried with exhibits of his own tweets.FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested last year, in 2022 – four weeks after FTX filed for bankruptcy – after US authorities laid criminal charges.
