Australia’s sharemarket is poised to recover some of Friday’s losses at the opening bell on this morning. ASX futures indicate the benchmark is poised to open 0.3 per cent higher from its last close of 7575.9, bouncing back from its 1.4 per cent sell-off.
The result was largely in line with market expectations. Meanwhile, tech stocks are in focus this morning, after the Nasdaq Composite rallied more than 2 per cent during trading in the US on Friday. Sentiment was spurred by strong results from Microsoft and Google-parent Alphabet. Amazon, AMD and Apple are all set to report earnings this week.
