Ian Poulter issued a cryptic message while PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan gave a press conference - as progress over a merger with LIV Golf continues to stall.
A meeting between PIF chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan and PGA Tour representatives took place earlier this summer in New York City, the status of talks since the remaining largely mired in mystery. With the American circuit's chief Monahan speaking at the season-closing Tour Championship, LIV star Poulter's words may have been in reference to the ongoing negotiations.
"I bet they don’t. Let’s wait and see. IYKYK ," he said in a vieled message, before going on to add: "Or are the puppets going to be the puppets. I wonder."
