A centuries-old shopping hub is hosting a weekend of free entertainment to officially celebrate its £12m new look.after 18 months of work to install new paving, bespoke fixed stalls, lighting, seating and trees.
"This is one of the biggest open-air market places in Europe and it's really important that we capitalise on what we have got and bring it to life on a regular basis," said Mark Mullen, from Northampton Business Improvement District ."Everyone around the town wants it to be success, and that's what today really encapsulates.
