Gisburn Forest Cafe has announced on social media that it will close under the current management. Sharing the news, the current owner said the establishment had been a "significant part of my life" for the past eight years, but the time had come to end their journey.
The full post reads: "It is with great sadness that I share the news that Gisburn Forest Cafe will be closing under my management. This café has been a significant part of my life, as well as my family's and our team's, for the past 8 years. "Unfortunately, due to the general fact that hospitality businesses across the country are struggling, which is so sad to see. Rising costs, decreased events, and so many other factors.
"To the best of my knowledge, there are no plans for an immediate successor but please follow Forestry England Gisburn Forest for updates. Our last trading day will be Sunday, November 24. We will be open on the 30th of November to display and sell various items of interest. I will update you with pictures and info in the coming weeks.
