Gamagara Local Municipality has been battling to supply water to residents in Olifantshoek since September. Department spokesperson Tebogo Monyo says, “The department is assisting struggling municipalities with project initiatives, project planning and development through grants such as municipal infrastructure grants. We further assist municipalities with maintenance projects through municipal support intervention programs.
