Drug companies aren't apologizing for their role in the opioid crisis, billions of dollars in settlements or not

In 2016, Cardinal Health admitted it failed to report suspicious orders to the DEA from January 1, 2009, to May 14, 2012, and paid $44 million to the federal government. In a "We care deeply about the devastation this epidemic has caused families and communities and are committed to keeping prescription opioids out of the wrong hands," the spokesperson said.
