Fast rising Lagos-based record label, TMW- TNKAY Music worldwide has commended Burna boy and Wizkid for winning the Grammys Award.

According to the label’s chief executive, Mrs. Temmie Olabode, the duo winning is a great motivation for the Nigerian music industry, adding that music being a serious business and can’t be put aside.

“Music is a way of life and cannot be over-emphasized in this contemporary days. Music business is a serious business and can’t be put aside. Entertainment industry is a business that generates value by providing people with something interesting to do. It’s a form of activity that holds the attention or gives pleasure and delight to people.“The global recorded music industries are experiencing a period of growth over the years.

Olabode, also, pointed out that Nigeria is a country that values cultural heritage and TMW as a label will use its influence to promote these value as well as that of the continent. She added that the outfit would focus on the Nigerian entertainment industry for now. While explaining that the firm is out to make the Nigeria music industry standout to an enviable height, she maintained that the label would further create opportunities for serious talented artistes.

Meanwhile, the label has just signed Ayoola Johnson, better known in the music industry as Ay.com, and appointed royal ambassador, Barr. Habeeb Whyte as its Legal Adviser.
