Sky News host Peter Gleeson says the tourism industry is in turmoil due to the lack of certainty on state borders.

Greater Brisbane will enter a three-day lockdown from 5pm this afternoon after recording four new locally acquired infections in the past 24 hours. This news caused some states to subsequently close borders to Queensland.

“You’ve got hundreds and thousands of Australians who are coming into Queensland for that Easter break and now their travel plans have been thrown into disarray,” Mr Gleeson said. “The tourism industry is somewhat shell shocked.”

What a steaming load of excrement. They're in turmoil, because the virus keeps leaking into community, because GregHuntMP's useless HealthGovAu won't recommend airborne IP&C (i.e. using N95 respirators, ventilation, filtration, etc). Not because of efforts to contain it.

monica_2978 that's an understatement

Thanks “Tuckerbag”

Yes Peter, more tourism industry turmoil now, as Queensland government imposes harsh 3 day lockdown....yet again. Australian tourism in turmoil and uncertainty.

People be aware! Crypto investment is a scam! All of it! A well-planned scam. Don't burn (=Defi) your hard-earned cash

Well if the gov done quarantines properly and stopped so many unnecessary arrivals as well as their hotel mistakes it wouldn’t be a issue still
