The median price for a single-family home in San Diego was $590,000 in March of 2020. This year it rose to $850,000, according to real estate trackers. But that high was short-lived.

It’s a sign of the times. San Diego’s real estate market has been on an upward trajectory for the past two years. According to real estate trackers, the median price for a single-family home was $590,000 in March of 2020. This year it rose to $850,000.

“Markets are always going to ebb and flow,” said realtor Alexander Ciullo of Pacific Sotheby’s. He doesn’t believe the shift in San Diego real estate will be a major one, primarily because demand for homes is always high in “America’s finest city.”
