A portion of the historic motel property will be preserved, while the rest will be demolished and developed into a new hotel.

is planning to open one of its first automated, technology-focused hotels in downtown Phoenix.

The motel was most recently used as a Travelodge by Wyndham Phoenix Downtown, city of Phoenix documents said. The main building is located at 600 W. Van Buren St., while the additional building is located at 316 N. 6th Ave. "This innovative hotel brand will deliver more than just crypto payments, as it will include everything crypto related and technology like never seen before in the industry," Ken Patel, founder and CEO of EV Hotel,“EV Hotel is focused on reinventing hospitality and distance itself from the traditional tactics of the Industry.
