Comcast RISE to award $1 million in grants to Oakland businesses owned by women and people of color

Moderated by Mary Huss, publisher of the San Francisco Business Times, the panel featured Andrea Brenholz of ATR International, Judi Townsend of Mannequin Madness and Carol Williams of Carol H Williams Advertising. Taking the stage after the panel, Comcast Senior Manager of External Communications Adriana Arvizo said, “For the past two years, I have had the joy of promoting the Comcast RISE program. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and our economy, but those were the hardest hit by the pandemic. Especially those owned by women and people of color. That’s why we support BIPOC-owned small businesses with marketing consultations and technology makeovers.
