The holiday shopping season is on. Thousands of shoppers will fill NRG Center this weekend for the 42nd annual Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market.

The market kicked off earlier this week with the annual Wells Fargo Preview Party with more than 5,000 guests. They dined on savory food from buffet stations, enjoyed live music by the David Caceres Band, and sipped on cocktails, including this year’s signature drink, “The Don,” named after Don Gullquist, long-time lover and supporter of the market.

This year's market features from more than 270 merchants, including The Round Top Collection, Susie’s South Forty Confections, Texas Tamale Co., Village Traditions and Houston designer Chloe Dao.
