Rodriguez said she wants to work closer with the city's Department of Recreation and Parks to increase the range of pop-ups and food vending opportunities. The alliance, which covers 27 blocks and had 2021 revenue of $7.04 million, plans to hire at least three new full-time staff — a chief operating officer, chief of staff and executive assistant. Additionally Rodriguez said she plans to create a part-time chief financial officer role to"maintain financial expertise and retain institutional knowledge" as well as possible other positions and consultants to further a"strong economic development capacity" in the Alliance.
