Mitchell sank a technical free throw midway through the fourth quarter Friday and recorded his 9,000th career point, becoming the fourth-fastest active NBA player to reach 9,000 career points.

Mitchell was 5 of 6 shooting from the field and 3 of 4 from three-point range while sinking all five free throws he attempted in the period. His 41 total points was a game high and marked the third time he has eclipsed the 40-point mark in a Cleveland uniform.
